Religious is part of our life through the beginning of life. Human beings are innately religious. Religions also have evolved with time. Hinduism is the world’s oldest religion. The other religions have evolved with time. People started following the religion of their choice. As the population increases, the follower of each religion started increasing.

Religious freedom means everyone has the choice to follow the religion of their choice and its vital for society. It protects the vulnerable sect of society. The Constitution of every country promotes religious freedom among its citizens. There is no compulsion or restriction on following any specific religion in any constitution of the world. Religious freedom is the birthright of every human being, which is guaranteed by the constitution of all the countries around the world.

Religious freedom makes our world more acceptable and peaceful. It allows us to respect other’s opinion, thinking, and their approach towards some specific point. Religious freedom means respecting the believes and consciences of others. If religious freedom is not given to humans, then the world will be divided into different religions. The religion of one person will be decided by the majority of people, which is against human nature.

Every religion of the world teaches to respect the religion of the other person. A verse from the bible states that “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.”

Islam also guarantees religious freedom. A verse from the Holy Quran states that “I worship not that which you worship, nor will you worship that which I worship”.

Other religions of the world also support religious freedom.

Religious freedom also includes institutional rights. It means that every church, mosque, temple, etc has the right to flourish. This is the reason worship places are tax-free. Even for making a new worship place government gives funds for it too.

Countries like Pakistan have a specific quota in legislation assembly for the protection of the rights of the non-Muslims. Even there is a specific quota in jobs for non-Muslims. These steps show how far religious freedom is accepted in countries like Pakistan.

Religious freedom does not give protection to the violence in the name of that religion. it is said that terrorism does not have any religion. Every religion ofthe world teaches its followers to follow state laws and work accordingly.
